Krug Counseling Philosophy and Approach

Philosophy: All clients have different goals. Some want to feel more alive, free from anxiety or depression, some want to find a loving partner, while some want more meaning and purpose in life. But these goals mean different things to different people. “Feeling more alive” means one thing to one and something quite different to another.

Therefore, at Krug Counseling we believe effective therapy should never be standardized or take a “one size fits all” approach. To be truly life changing it must be tailored to the goals and needs of each client. From understanding the meaning of “feeling more alive,” to exploring what self-constructed restrictions might be blocking its attainment, my purpose is to honor the uniqueness of each client.

Approach: The cornerstone of our approach is cultivating empathic presence and sensitive attunement. These qualities encourage clients to feel safe, accepted and understood. My years of experience bringing both of these elements to my work have proven their ability to ensure successful therapeutic outcomes.
